EMISSIONS INSPECTION & ON-THE-SPOT RENEWAL WHAT IS AN EMISSIONS TEST? An emissions inspection checks your vehicle’s emissions-control system and verifies that it meets applicable Utah requirements. Testing is quick and easy and is typically completed in about 20 minutes. ON-THE-SPOT RENEWAL When your vehicle passes and the registration is eligible, Angels Automotive can help complete your Utah registration renewal during the same visit and provide your new registration and decal. State registration fees and the applicable renewal service fee are additional. BEFORE YOU ARRIVE • Bring your current registration or renewal notice. • First-time Utah registrations and vehicles coming from out of state may require a DMV visit. We can provide a VIN inspection when requested by the DMV. • Motorcycles do not require an emissions test, but eligible motorcycles, trailers, and vehicles that do not require emissions may still qualify for on-the-spot renewal. • A passing emissions test does not guarantee renewal if there are state holds, missing documents, insurance issues, unpaid fees, or other eligibility requirements. • Salvage-title safety inspections are not performed at Angels Automotive; contact the Utah Highway Patrol for assistance.
